History
Founded in the UK in 1804, the Company was part of the Courtaulds Group from the 1960's until the late 1990's, when it was the subject of a MBO.
The Group has operated a site at Colchester, UK since 1953. During the 1990's manufacturing sites were established in Indonesia, India and Poland. In 2007, a new site in Mexico was added
In June 2010, Betts was brought by Sun European Partners LLP, the European advisor to Sun Capital Partners Inc
